Which includes training people of determination and encouraging them to play the game, as well as enhancing their participation locally and internationally."
Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination (ZHO) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Abu Dhabi Racquet Games Club. The MoU focuses on supporting and developing services for People of Determination, as well as enhancing their participation in sports. The collaboration involves the inclusion of racquet games in the sports competition schedule of the organization, encouragement of its members to engage in the sport, and providing the necessary facilities for the club to use for training and hosting local and international sports championships.
The MoU was signed by His Excellency Abdullah Abdul Ali Al Humaidan, the General Secretary of ZHO, and His Excellency Dr. Hamd Abdullah Al Mehyas, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Racquet Games Club, with various leaders from both sides present at the signing ceremony held at the organization’s headquarters.
Under the MoU, Zayed Higher Organization will conduct workshops and lectures to educate Abu Dhabi Racquet Games Club's employees on how to interact with People of Determination. This also involves encouraging their participation in the club’s competitions. The club is committed to planning and implementing training programs for players willing to participate from this segment of the population, and evaluating their technical, skill, and physical development. The club will also provide the necessary trainers and human resources to implement training sessions according to agreed-upon and approved programs. Full logistical support for their implementation will also be provided, as well as support during competitions and championships at the local or regional level. The organization will be involved in workshops, seminars, and training courses organized by the Abu Dhabi Racquet Games Club, with support and marketing of products for People of Determination.
His Excellency Abdullah Abdul Ali Al Humaidan, the General Secretary of ZHO, welcomed the signing of the MoU with the Abu Dhabi Racquet Games Club. He praised the club’s objective to work towards achieving sports accomplishments for the UAE at regional and international levels. He emphasized the importance of sports for People of Determination as it enhances their empowerment and integration into society. The General Secretary added that the organization aims to provide opportunities for this segment, whether they are members or not, to practice sports under qualified training staff, which positively reflects on their confidence and psychological barriers for them and their families.
He also added that People of Determination are an integral part of the community and there is a continuous effort to integrate them through various programs and events implemented by the organization, especially sports events with active participation from both government and private institutions.
Dr. Hamd Abdullah Al Mehyas expressed his pride and happiness over the MoU with ZHO, pointing out that People of Determination are an essential part of the community. He emphasized their role and the club's commitment to supporting their sports journey by providing equal opportunities and necessary facilities for all athletes interested in racquet games. The club is also committed to supporting and empowering People of Determination, providing sponsorship and opportunities to enhance their participation in sports as a national duty to achieve societal integration.
