Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination (ZHO) announced the launch of more two sewing workshops within the vocational rehabilitation workshops at ZHO’s Agricultural Rehabilitation Department, taking 31 people of determination, with the support and financing of Al Masaood Group represented by Al Masaood Energy, LLC. This comes as a continuation of the successful strategic partnership and joint cooperation between ZHO and Al Masaood, that kicked off in October 2018 through a project to develop ZHO’s sewing workshops into the Design Studio to be a permanent production line, supported and sponsored by Al Masaood Prestige to achieve its main goal of empowering and integrating ZHO’s members into society.
First one was completed with 31 sewing machines, 16 in Abu Dhabi and 15 in Al Ain, in preparation for the start of the new academic year 2023/2024, bringing the total number of male and female students of determination working at ZHO’s sewing workshops to 131, with the support of Al Masaood Group.
The strategic partnership between ZHO and Al Masaood Group was born in 2018 with the launch of the Design Studio project, a production line, with the support and sponsorship of Al Masaood Group represented by Al Masaood Prestige, with the aim of empowering people of determination in society. The partnership continues successfully, and has employed 100 people with mental disabilities at Al Masaood Prestige in the Design Studio, under the supervision of highly-qualified trainers. The number of the partnership’s workshops is five; two in Abu Dhabi with 51 students, two in Al Ain with 38, and one in Al Dhafra with 11.
His Excellency Abdullah Abdul-Ali Al-Humaidan, ZHO’s Secretary General, asserted that ZHO works on implementing strategies to recruit people of determination to jobs in the public and private sectors in order to integrate them into the labor market, and ensure an increase in the number of its employees in various sectors.
“The people of determination have made a new success, as their presence in all fields has become a reality after the government and its institutions adopted several strategies and initiatives to develop the skills of various categories of determination in order to build a better future for them and their families. This allows them to be self-reliant, and expresses new levels of integrating them into society in a healthy and effective manner,” His Excellency said.
His Excellency thanked Al Masaood Group that is characterized by excellence and social responsibility, and Al Masaood for Supplies and Petroleum Services LLC for that step by supporting, and Al Masaood Energy LLC, for supporting and enhancing ZHO’s efforts to integrate its employees into the labor market through the two new workshops. He voiced his pride in the hard work of ZHO’s employees of determination to achieve the goal that sought by ZHO of empowering and integrating its members into society and supporting their positive contribution to the development process of the country.
He noted that the goal ZHO seeks in cooperation with Al Masaood Group and its companies, including Al Masaood Energy LLC, is to create job opportunities at the private sector for its employees of determination by honing the skills of developing the production of vocational rehabilitation workshops in order to continue keep going in the production market and competition in the local market by providing products bearing The Bee brand.
For his part, His Excellency Ahmad Rahma Al-Masaood, Vice Chairman of Al-Masaood Group, said that the cooperation between the Group and ZHO is a model of successful cooperation between institutions, government entities and the national private sector, which comes in implementation of the government directives to provide equal and fair employment opportunities for citizens of determination in the private sector, and their right to work where disability does not constitute an obstacle in their way to run for jobs.
