Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi, is launching the second edition of the "Hemam Mawhouba"
Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi, is launching the second edition of the "Hemam Mawhouba" initiative in Abu Dhabi under the slogan “Through Art We Communicate”. This comes after the success of the initiative in its first edition in 2023.
The initiative aims to support and nurture talented people of Determination in various art fields, including Arts of performing and visual arts, aiming of nurturing, supporting, and developing their talents, and creating a suitable environment for them to compete in global talent competitions. This will be achieved through developing a comprehensive program that ensures the refinement of these talents and skills to enhance their presence in many local and international forums.
The organization has announced the opening of registration for the second edition of the initiative through the following link https://forms.office.com/r/g7CJWA4z5g . During the period from April 29th to May 24th.
The program will start with the auditions’ phase from May 26th to May 30th, while the evaluations will take place in three different areas within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi at the Care and Rehabilitation centers of the organization, located in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Zayed City in Al Dhafra region.
The qualified participants who successfully pass the auditions will be enrolled in a two-month training program from June 3rd to July 11th, 2024, during which they will receive specialized training in the artistic fields of the initiative at the Abu Dhabi center.
The organization confirmed the development of the initiative's second edition by adding new artistic fields and providing professional specialized training staff. This comes within the framework of implementing the organization's strategy, which is a priority for expanding the participation of people of determination in public life, culture, and sports, which aims to enhance all the skills of people of determination in behavioral, life, and creative fields, which boosts their capabilities and positively reflects on society.
It is worth mentioning that the first edition of the initiative witnessed 78 people of determination passing the auditions out of 269 participants, including 164 males and 105 females, who presented their skills and abilities in front of the evaluation committees over three days across three regions within the emirate. There were 47 talents in the acting field, 36 in singing, 17 in playing musical instruments, 125 in drawing, and 44 in media presentation. The age groups ranged from 4 to 65 years old. Among the participants, 44 were from the 4 to 9 years old, 104 participants from 10 to 19 years old, 53 from the 20 to 29 years old, 17 from the 40 to 49 years old, and 5 from the 50 to 65 years old. The nationalities included 159 UAE nationals, 63 from Arab countries, and 47 from Asian countries.
