Sponsored by HE Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination (ZHO), in cooperation and coordination with the Lotus Holistic Alternative Medicine and Health Center-Abu Dhabi and the Autism Challenges center in Moscow - Russian Federation, is organizing the 11th International research and practice conference «Autism Challenges and Solutions», from April 27th-30th at the Beach Rotana Hotel, Abu Dhabi. Speeches will be delivered by 52 experts and specialists in the fields of behavior modification, biomedicine and its developments, and a number of agencies and institutions from 26 countries will take part.
The conference will raise awareness about autism spectrum disorder (ASD), within the care given to its patients. It will provide the international community with the latest developments, theoretically and practically, for the treatment of autism, as well as stimulating the dissemination of new, effective and safe medical and educational measures, to help people with autism and maximize the benefit from relevant practical research and studies. The conference will be accompanied by practical training workshops as of April 27th 2023 moderated by international trainers.
The conference will also review and discuss research and innovative achievements in biomedicine that may help meet different needs in autism, in addition to the results of the pilot phase of a unique test project for teaching children with autism based on an innovative model for comprehensive education for children with special cognitive needs, and benefiting from best international practices and the latest research, as well discussing ways and methods of implementing some of these results in international practice.
The conference highlights a holistic approach to integrate people of determination and the need for early identification of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), early intervention and their inclusion in the education system, a matter which can greatly benefit children and their families. During the conference, the latest skills and experiences in the field of developing modern methods of treating autism disorder will be reviewed within dialogue sessions, discussions, scientific research and visual presentations that include solutions and developmental ideas with the participation of a large number of doctors, researchers and specialized experts from international academics in this field.

Many national initiatives have been launched that serve this noble goal, and the hosting of Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination comes in cooperation with Lotus Holistic Group Abu Dhabi and Russian Society for Challenges Autism and its solutions, which are considered the most prominent institutions in the United Arab Emirates and the Russian Federation in this field, to confirm the firm approach followed by the state in the importance of acquainting with the latest findings of science in methods of psychological support and education for autistic people, exchange of experiences, activities and studies, training specialists, teachers and doctors, in addition to conducting changes to laws to provide a decent life for autistic people and ensure their access to education and protect their interests in various areas of life.

It provides a real opportunity for the participating experts and cadres of ZHO and other institutions and concerned authorities from around the world, and parents of children with autism to learn about the best autism-related experiences.
He added that the participation of this number of experts in the conference would led to useful and influential recommendations in the field of autism care, discover further treatment tactics to help this category and their families, and reach the best treatment methods. The UAE is always on the humanitarian work path, and the pioneering provider of humanitarian care.
For his part, Dr. Abdul-Hamid Abdul-Hai, Chairman of the Media Committee of the conference, asserted that “Autism Challenges and Solutions” conference is another achievement by the UAE to provide specialized medical scientific research on the latest findings in this specialty in favor of children with autism.
He said that the conference primarily aims to alleviate the suffering of this category, by bringing together researchers from different countries for exchange of information and development of strategic plans. The conference also looks forward to a quantum leap in integrating this category with the rest of its student peers, a matter which contributes to the discovery of creative and innovative children with autism in various science, arts and scientific applications.
