Memorandum of Understanding Between Zayed Higher Organization and Cinema City Al Qana – Abu Dhabi

Exclusive Discounts and Special Services for People of Determination, Organization Staff, and Their Families, Along with Sign Language Training for Cinema Employees




As part of efforts to enhance social collaboration and integrate People of Determination into cultural and entertainment activities, Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination (ZHO) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cinema City – Al Qana, Abu Dhabi. The agreement aims to provide exclusive discounts and special services for People of Determination, ZHO employees, and their families, reinforcing the concept of social inclusion and ensuring suitable entertainment opportunities for all members of society.

The MoU was signed on behalf of Zayed Higher Organization by Mr. Mohammed Salem Al Shibeebi, Director of Agricultural and Vocational Rehabilitation at ZHO, and on behalf of Cinema City – Al Qana by Mr. Saleh Atassi, Cinema Manager. The signing ceremony took place at ZHO headquarters in the presence of officials from both parties.

Under the MoU, Zayed Higher Organization will conduct free training courses for Cinema City – Al Qana employees on sign language and best practices for interacting with People of Determination. This initiative aims to create a more comfortable and inclusive cinema experience for individuals from these groups. Additionally, the agreement recognizes Cinema City as a key supporter of ZHO’s initiatives within the scope of their expertise, helping to raise public awareness of cinema's role in supporting People of Determination across various fields.

As part of the agreement, Cinema City – Al Qana will organize exclusive movie outings for People of Determination and ZHO staff according to a mutually agreed schedule. The cinema will also offer free tickets for People of Determination during both morning and evening sessions, along with a 50% discount on movie tickets for their families and companions. Meanwhile, ZHO employees will receive a 20% discount on movie tickets. Furthermore, students and staff will be enrolled in a membership program that provides additional discounts and the opportunity to collect loyalty points that can be redeemed for future exclusive benefits.

His Excellency Abdullah Al Humaidan, Secretary-General of Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, emphasized that this memorandum represents a significant step in strengthening social inclusion and reaffirming that People of Determination are an integral part of the community fabric. This partnership aims to provide exceptional entertainment and educational opportunities for People of Determination and their families by expanding the cinema's services to be more inclusive and diverse. Additionally, this agreement offers a professional development opportunity for cinema employees by training them in sign language and best practices for engaging with People of Determination.

He expressed his gratitude to the officials at Cinema City – Al Qana, Abu Dhabi, for their initiative in signing this memorandum, noting that this collaboration reflects the organization’s commitment to creating an inclusive and accommodating environments for all members of society, including People of Determination. It also reinforces the spirit of community partnership in providing cultural and recreational activities that enhance their quality of life.

For his part, Hammad Atassi, CEO of Cinema City – Al Qana, expressed his delight in signing the memorandum of understanding with Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, highlighting that it reflects the values of solidarity and cooperation in fostering a compassionate and humane society.
