Yesterday morning, classes commenced across the care and rehabilitation centers of Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination (ZHO) in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, marking the start of the 2025–2026 academic year. The organization welcomed around 2,100 students of determination with various disabilities across its network of centers in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra.

The return to school includes all ZHO-affiliated centers across the Emirate. In Abu Dhabi, this comprises the Abu Dhabi Care and Rehabilitation Center, Abu Dhabi Autism Center, and the Vocational and Agricultural Rehabilitation Department for students above 16 years. In Al Ain, the network includes Al Qou’, Al Wagan, and Al Ain care and rehabilitation centers, in addition to the Al Ain Autism Center and the Vocational and Agricultural Rehabilitation Department. In Al Dhafra, the centers include Al Sila, Ghayathi, Al Marfa, Delma, and Madinat Zayed.

The organization affirmed its full readiness for the new school year, having completed all maintenance and development works and equipped the facilities and educational environments to meet the needs of students. The centers have also been staffed with specialized, qualified professionals to deliver the highest standards of education and rehabilitation.

Guided by the supervision of H.H. Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of ZHO’s Board of Directors, the organization is focused on introducing modern curricula and artificial intelligence programs into education and rehabilitation. This includes tailored individual plans for each student and the integration of the latest technologies in communication, physical therapy, special education, and vocational training, thereby enhancing students’ capabilities and empowering them with greater opportunities for success and independence.

ZHO praised the steadfast support of H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE (may God protect him), and the close follow-up of H.H. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, to ensure the adoption of global best practices across its centers.

H.E. Abdullah Abdulalee Al Humaidan, Secretary-General of Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, said:
“The beginning of the new academic year marks a new milestone in our journey to empower our sons and daughters of determination. We are committed to providing them with the latest educational curricula and innovative rehabilitation programs, strengthening their capabilities and self-confidence, and preparing them for full integration into society and active participation in the nation’s ongoing development.”
