Zayed Higher Organization Presents "The Ashhafan Family" Play at Al Ain Municipality Theater

Zayed Higher Organization (ZHO) will showcase the theatrical production "The Ashhafan Family" today, Saturday, January 25, at Al Ain Municipality Theater in Al Ain city. The play will feature a group of talented People of Determination who are members of the organization. Through this initiative, ZHO continues its efforts to empower individuals from various categories of Determination with special abilities in acting, as one of the fields of creative expression. It reflects ZHO’s commitment to social inclusion and ongoing collaboration to support People of Determination and the institutions responsible for their care and rehabilitation.


The play "The Ashhafan Family" is produced by Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination with support from its principal partner, Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, in collaboration with Akkasa Media Production Company. It was recently performed at the Fujairah Creative Center Theater, under the Ministry of Culture, for three consecutive days at "Ahmed Mankoush" Theater within the organization’s headquarters. The production marks the adaptation of the iconic Emirati television series originally aired in 1976 into a captivating theatrical experience. This transformation revisits cherished memories of the original series, which is considered a significant part of Emirati and Gulf drama heritage.


With "The Ashhafan Family," ZHO aims to create a unique creative avenue for integrating People of Determination into the artistic and social fabric of life, providing them with a platform to express significant events. The cast includes talented members Sultan Al Siyabi, Ghaya Saeed, , Maryam Hamdan, and Hamdan Al Hamiri..


The play is a creative piece that humorously addresses family issues while reflecting the rich Emirati artistic culture and the enduring values of its people. Directed by Mohammed Saeed And his assistant, Fahad. and written by Abdullah Saleh, the production boasts a mix of veteran and new actors, who will revive the spirit of the original drama. Prominent actors such as Mohammed Yassin, Ahmed Mankoush, Adel Al Buainain, and Jasim Obaid, are part of the cast. Additionally, the play features a new generation of talent, including Ohood Al Nuwais, Ahmed Malallah, and Reem Suleiman, And the participation of the gifted child, Abdulrahman along with the gifted People of Determination.


The play delves into modern challenges facing Gulf and Arab families, exploring the impact of social media platforms on daily life. It revolves around a family with differing interests, unfolding events that reflect how their choices affect their personal and professional lives.

It is noteworthy that Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination had earlier launched its pioneering initiative, “Talented Determination,” across Abu Dhabi. This program aims to discover and attract talent among various categories of People of Determination in fields such as performing arts, visual arts, and media presentation. The initiative seeks to nurture their talents, provide suitable environments, and enable them to compete globally by developing comprehensive programs that enhance their skills and presence in both local and international forums.
