Zayed Higher Organization for people of determination (ZHO) signed a memorandum of understanding with Zayed Search and Rescue Volunteer Team (ZSRVT) on enhancing means of cooperation and coordination in environment, health and safety, by coordinating work and efforts to provide assistance and support in the therapeutic diving program, environmental campaigns, training and awareness in the field of health and safety, and coordination related to swimming for people of determination.
The MoU was signed by ZHO's Secretary General, His Excellency Abdullah Abdul Ali Al- Humaidan, and ZSRVT's Founder and Leader, Mr. Hussein Mohammed Saleh Al Hammadi, at ZHO's headquarters and in the presence of a myriad of leaders from both sides.
Under the MoU, joint and mutual training courses will be implemented in the fields of search and rescue, emergency, therapeutic diving, occupational health and safety, risk assessment, and the bilateral cooperation in the fields of sports, activities and various events, along with exchanging experiences and providing introductory workshops in the field of search and rescue for the people of determination, and joint cooperation in supporting events and activities organized by each party, and exchanging experiences and knowledge in the field of organizing and securing activities and events.
Under the MoU, ZSRVT shall have access to ZHO's facilities, while ensuring the preservation of equipment, tools and places during the period of use, as well as ensuring the safety of the site and workers in any events or activities organized and supervised by ZHO, while meeting the needs and demands and providing information requested by ZHO.
His Excellency Abdullah Al-Humaidan welcomed this partnership and cooperation with ZSRVT, which reinforces the concept of social responsibility and the creation of an integrated and sustainable system for the volunteer action as a very important pillar of community cohesion in the United Arab Emirates, as well as a distinct national model for spreading and promoting the culture of volunteer action and building a better future for new generations.
ZHO is always keen on establishing the value and importance of volunteer action, instilling the concept of its culture in the hearts of ZHO's members of various categories of determination, empowering them and achieving community integration in its best form alongside hundreds of people registered on the Emirates Volunteering Platform, bringing lofty national, humanitarian and societal value, inspired by the unique and great experience of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace, in promoting the culture of volunteering and the values of giving and solidarity in society, his Excellency noted.
For his part, ZSRVT's Founder and Leader, Mr. Hussein Mohammed Saleh Al Hammadi, voiced his thanks and appreciation to ZHO and its SG for the trust given to the team, noting that ZSRVT goes with its tasks and vision as a professional team responding to emergencies, crises, and disasters. The team comprises 90 specialists in all searches, rescue and safety fields, with the aim of enhancing the emergency responses, curbing their effects, providing support and assistance to existing institutions and bodies concerned with emergency response, and providing citizens and residents with the required knowledge and skills so they can deal with emergencies and crises.
ZSRVT is the first team specialized in handling emergencies, crises and disasters, especially for people of determination to ensure safety and security standards for everyone in the field of search, rescue and based on the role of the team towards the Emirati society, Mr. Hussein said.
