Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination (ZHO) has announced the results of the second round of the Ataa Award for Community Excellence 2022

ZHO’s SG honors winners with cash prizes and certificates of thanks and appreciation

Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination (ZHO) has announced the results of the second round of the Ataa Award for Community Excellence 2022, which aims to provide the opportunity for various categories of people of determination, their families and their supporters to compete and excel in line with ZHO’s strenuous efforts to adopt best practices in the field of providing them with care and rehabilitation, and establishing the culture of excellence.

ZHO has designated five categories for the award. Award one; Distinguished and Inspiring Student of Determination, for 6-35 age group, enrolled at care and rehabilitation centers, education schools, applied and technical institutes of technology, or universities and colleges across the UAE. Ten students took part, where Hammoud Mohammad Hammoud Taribish Al-Mansoori and Tariq Asaad Moussa Abdul-Rahman won the first place and the financial prize equally, and Dhiab bin Badr bin Jumaa Al-Alawi won the second place and a certificate of thanks and appreciation.

Category two; Distinguished Mother of the Year, for every mother who has a son of determination. Sixteen mothers took part, where Mrs. Asmaa Moussa Mohammad Abdul-Rahman won the first place and the financial prize, Mrs. Omnia Al-Qahtani won the second place and a certificate of thanks and appreciation, and Mrs. Aisha Mohammad Abdullah Al-Jabri won the third place a certificate of thanks and appreciation.

Category three; Distinguished Family of Children of Determination, for every family that is a citizen or resident in Abu Dhabi. Four families were nominated for the award. Family of Mr. Mohammad Dafairi won the first place and the financial prize, family of Mr. Ali Al-Naqbi won the second place and a certificate of thanks and appreciation, and family of Mr. Majdi Atteya Al-Hassayneh won the third place and a certificate of thanks and appreciation.

Category four; Studies and Research, granted to individuals, entities and companies interested in the field of social care and disability sciences across Abu Dhabi. The award and the financial prize went to Dr. Wael Maher Mohammad Ghoneim, psychologist at the Emirates School Education Foundation, for research on the effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy in reducing psychological stress and improving psychological well-being among mothers of children of determination.

Category Five; People of Determination Friendly Entity, to the local community in Abu Dhabi, with the participation of public and private entities, and granted to the entity seeking to carry out initiatives through which it creates a suitable environment for people of determination by creating property and distinguished services and benefiting from their energies. The award was withheld.

His Excellency Abdullah Abdul-Ali Al-Humaidan, ZHO’s Secretary-General, congratulated the various winners, stressing that the awards come as a translation of the principles of excellence to reach leadership. “ZHO highlights the importance of empowering people of determination in the various walks of life, including bringing their talents to the top and reaping the fruits of achievements, given their competence and ability to prove themselves. Honoring individuals and entities that are singled out in their work is an incentive for all with the aim of supporting people of determination in an inclusive system that provides them with high-quality services to enable them to actively engage in society and make the state a role model”, His Excellency said.

The care of the UAE wise leadership for people of determination provides a matchless model for what care and empowerment of these categories should be at the local, regional and international levels. The state has provided a motivating environment that help these categories unleash their energies and creativities in various fields of education, work and community integration.
