Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination (ZHO) celebrated the Emirati Women's Day 2023 by organizing events that included a myriad of activities
Significant role in preparing, sponsoring and qualifying women of determination and enabling them to make achievements in various areas
Celebrating the Emirati Women's Day this year is themed "We Collaborate for Tomorrow ", in implementation of the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood (SCMC), and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), the "Mother of the Nation", by launching this slogan in line with the state’s slogan for 2023 launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may Allah protect him, declaring 2023 the Year of Sustainability under the slogan (Today for Tomorrow) with the aim of highlighting the UAE's local efforts and its global contribution to addressing sustainability challenges by searching for innovative solutions in fields of energy, climate change and others.
Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination (ZHO) celebrated the Emirati Women's Day 2023 by organizing events that included a myriad of activities at its headquarters with the cooperation and participation of a host of external parties in support of the success of this remarkable event. This comes in the context of expanding the participation of people of determination in public life, culture and sports, where a pavilion was allocated for each party to showcase its activities, mainly geared towards honoring Emirati women for their efforts and success in knowledge, action and giving, and for their access to the highest ranks, in appreciation of their role, especially those affiliated with ZHO, and to highlight their efforts and enhance their influential role in keeping pace with emerging changes.
Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) took part with the aim of highlighting the role of women in the humanitarian field, so did Sheikha Fatima Ladies’ Sport Academy (FBMA) to highlight the role of women in the sports field, and Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters (GHQ) - Women’s Police to highlight the role of women in the field of community service, in addition to the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation to highlight the role of women in the field of industry and handicrafts and serving popular dishes.
The event included the participation of the youngest Emirati female chef, Chef Aisha Al-Obaidly, through a cooking workshop with the participation of women of determination, in addition to a number of talented women who participated in the “Hemam, Talented in Drawing” program, with the participation of women of determination, while models produced by women of determination, affiliates with ZHO, were presented.
ZHO has prepared a documentary film on the Emirati Women’s Day titled “We Collaborate for Tomorrow”, coinciding with the Year of Sustainability, telling the stories of Emirati women as a pioneering role model in various regional and international forums, including Sheikha Shakhbout Al Kaabi, Head of the Economic, Political and Media Affairs Department at the UAE Embassy in Austria, in the diplomatic field, and women of determination who are champions in the field of sports with global achievements in several sports, and represent the UAE national team for women of determination abroad. The documentary highlights the role of Emirati women in the fields of work as major contributors in the most prominent achievements of the state and as partners in the path of sustainable development.
The documentary conveys a message of thanks to the Mother of the Nation, of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of GWU, President of SCMC, and Supreme Chairwoman of FDF, for her great and continuous support for Emirati women in all fields, contributing to the empowerment and leadership of women in the UAE and the emergence of their role at all levels.
