Zayed Authority for People of Determination Launches its 2026 Strategy


Zayed Authority for People of Determination has launched its new Strategy for 2026, in alignment with the vision of the Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi, during an extended staff meeting. This milestone reflects the Authority’s commitment to implementing the directives of the wise leadership, and to strengthening the rights of People of Determination and ensuring their full empowerment within society.

His Excellency Abdullah Al Humaidan, Director General of Zayed Authority for People of Determination, affirmed that the 2026 Strategy represents a qualitative leap in the Authority’s journey, as it focuses on empowering People of Determination and integrating them socially, educationally, and professionally, through providing an integrated environment that supports their abilities, while enhancing community and strategic partnerships to ensure the sustainability of services and achieve Abu Dhabi’s vision of building an inclusive and sustainable society.

He noted that the directives of wise leadership represent a national responsibility and a valuable opportunity to continue supporting and empowering People of Determination. The Authority will continue working as one team with its partners from government entities, the private sector, and civil society to develop innovative programs and initiatives that support families of People of Determination and provide them with equal opportunities for active participation across various fields.

The strategy is built on four main pillars. The first is comprehensive and integrated care services through inclusive educational and rehabilitative programs, ensuring a supportive environment that meets the needs of People of Determination and their families. The second is diverse vocational training and employment empowerment, ensuring equal educational and professional opportunities and strengthening the transition from education to the labour market to support their financial independence.

The third pillar focuses on enhancing community engagement by involving People of Determination in cultural, social, and sports activities, raising societal awareness of their rights and capabilities, and providing psychological support programs for families. The fourth pillar is achieving institutional competitiveness through developing human capital, optimizing resources, investing in technology and innovation, and strengthening partnerships to ensure sustainable, high-quality services.

The strategic priorities for 2026 include ensuring the continuity of services and implementing current initiatives while reassessing mandates and the organizational structure; delivering comprehensive care and rehabilitation programs; supporting vocational training to reinforce the independence of People of Determination; engaging families and the wider community in supporting them; raising awareness of their rights and capabilities; and developing human resources while strengthening innovation and partnerships to guarantee sustainable, high-quality services.

The Authority affirmed that the strategy is underpinned by precise governance mechanisms to monitor performance and measure indicators, thereby enhancing transparency and ensuring the achievement of desired outcomes. It also incorporates institutional flexibility and risk management to guarantee service continuity and ongoing quality improvement.

This strategy reflects the Authority’s commitment to translating the leadership’s directives into practical initiatives that contribute to building a more inclusive society—one that empowers People of Determination to realize their potential and actively contribute to the UAE’s sustainable development.
