Zayed Higher organization, in collaboration with Al Khwarizmi Training Services, has launched an initiative to train and rehabilitate young people with disabilities who are high school graduates in the Al Dhafra region for the job market. The foundation has adopted a training program in coordination with Al Khwarizmi to train students in essential work skills, such as computer skills, interpersonal communication, general secretarial skills, and more.

The organization has entered into a contract with Al Khwarizmi Training Services regarding the office work training program for people with disabilities. Al Khwarizmi is responsible for training and qualifying high school graduates with disabilities in the necessary basic skills for entering the job market through the implementation of an approved training program by both parties.

The contract was signed by Mr. Abdullah Al-Humaidan, the Secretary-General of Zayed Higher organization for People of Determination, and Mr. Khaldoun Mohammed Hameeda, the Executive Director of Al Khwarizmi Training Services. The launch ceremony and contract signing took place in the presence of key representatives from both organizations.

Under the contract, Zayed Higher organization restricts those interested in joining the training program to individuals with disabilities. It specifies the time and provides the venue for program implementation at its centers in the Al Dhafra region. Additionally, the foundation ensures the availability of sign language interpreters for deaf trainees who enroll in the program. The implementation is monitored, and feedback is sought from experts and the guardians of individuals with disabilities. Meanwhile, Al Khwarizmi Training Services commits to complying with legislations, guidelines, regulations, policies, instructions, procedures, and controls related to service delivery. It also adheres to contractual conditions, modifying program content and teaching methods to align with the unique needs of individuals with disabilities, including considerations for mental, physical, and mobility capabilities.

Mr. Abdullah Al-Humaidan, the Secretary-General of Zayed Higher organization for People of Determination, affirmed that the foundation, as part of its ongoing initiatives, supports the rehabilitation and employment of individuals with disabilities. This support aims to enhance their skills and capabilities, enabling them to integrate into society as active individuals contributing to the workforce and participating in the development journey. The foundation seeks to provide suitable job opportunities by aligning the abilities and skills of individuals with disabilities with the requirements of the job market.

In his speech during the announcement of the initiative, he stated: "We aspire to attract jobs that ensure an encouraging work environment for individuals with disabilities, contributing to their development and raising their competencies. We aim to support them in advancing their abilities and building their professional success, allowing them to achieve family stability and establish a source of income for themselves and their families, fostering independence in their lives." He emphasized that the Zayed Higher Foundation continuously builds partnerships, strengthens cooperation, and opens doors for collaboration with the private, government, and semi-government sectors in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. This is in line with the state's fundamental role in supporting private sector employees through competitive initiatives, attracting youth to the private sector, and enhancing their skills in diverse ways.

Khaldoon Mohammed Hameeda, the Executive Director of Al Khwarizmi Training Services, commented, "The launch of this program is part of Al Khwarizmi's commitment to contribute to empowering individuals with disabilities and equipping them with the necessary skills for the job market. It aims to train individuals with disabilities on a range of basic office skills, such as computer usage, writing and editing skills, effective communication, and teamwork skills."

During the launch event, he affirmed that the program's initiation reflects the institute's dedication to supporting individuals with disabilities and providing opportunities for them to participate in the workforce. He emphasized Al Khwarizmi Training Services' commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities, enabling them to contribute to building our society. This program represents a significant step in this direction, as it will provide individuals with disabilities the necessary skills for employment in the office sector.

Khaldoon explained that the Office Work Training Program for individuals with disabilities spans three months and targets individuals with disabilities of various types. The program includes a series of lectures and practical training sessions in administrative and information technology skills. Participants in the program will receive a certified certificate from the Al Khwarizmi Institute upon completion.

During the announcement of the initiative, Zayed Higher organization for People of Determination presented an overview of the work system it envisions, starting from the training program and extending to the private sector's engagement in hiring these young individuals. The organization urged private sector participants to adopt recruitment initiatives, acquaint themselves with youth with disabilities, and consider their readiness to sign employment contracts with qualified individuals after they complete the training program.
