Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, in cooperation with Abu Dhabi National Hotels Compass, launched the second session of the "Culinary Arts" program, the first initiative of its kind. The program aims to train a group of job-seeking Emiratis and women with intellectual disabilities to obtain a culinary certificate. The training is delivered through contracting with companies and hotels to train and prepare program participants for the labor market, toward empowering people of determination and integrating them into the labor market, in addition to enabling them to establish and manage their own economic projects and become active members of their communities.

The program aims to train a group of job-seeking Emiratis and women with intellectual disabilities to obtain a culinary certificate. The training is delivered through contracting with companies and hotels to train and prepare program participants for the labor market, toward empowering people of determination and integrating them into the labor market, in addition to enabling them to establish and manage their own economic projects and become active members of their communities.
In its second session, the program includes the training of 12 determined women with intellectual disabilities at the organization's facility in the Bahia region. This session was delivered over four days and included theoretical lectures and practical training to provide trainees with new skills to enhance their employment prospects, to increase their self-confidence and to highlight their capacity to become active community members. In addition to investing in people of determination, empowering them economically through training programs and skill certification, people of determination can also participate in job integration programs, where they are placed in suitable jobs in partnership with the concerned authorities, which contributes to securing their financial, social and psychological independence.
During the its first session, the program provided training to 30 Emirati people of determination job seekers who were nominated by the organization, and whose data was shared with the company by the organization. Upon successfully fulfilling all program requirements and learning outcomes, participants will be awarded an internationally recognized culinary certificate from the Executive Chef of Abu Dhabi National Hotels Compass, Richard Green, who is a WACS Certified Chef.
His Excellency Abdulla Al Humaidan, Secretary-General of Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, stressed that the program is one of the many initiatives launched by the organization, in cooperation with its strategic partners as part of its efforts to promote the empowerment and social inclusion of people of determination. The organization strives to ensure that people of determination are fully prepared to enter the labor market, by enrolling them and their families in certified training programs, such as this program for culinary arts, a field that is directly linked to employment opportunities in the rapidly growing tourism sector.
His Excellency Abdulla Al Humaidan praised the vital and important role played by national institutions in the rehabilitation and employment of people of determination, including the Abu Dhabi National Hotels Compass, pioneers of the food industry in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. He noted the company's key role in the success of this initiative to contribute to the empowerment and social inclusion of people of determination. He also thanked the management of the company and its specialized staff for their invaluable cooperation with the organization, highlighting that integrating people of determination into the labor market is vital to promoting their independence, increasing their self-confidence, and motivating them to work in a diligent and productive manner.
