Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination launched the “Safe Homes" community initiative to distribute 2,000 boxes of protective equipment to the homes of people of determination from the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination. The initiative aims to raise awareness among people of determination and their parents and families in coordination and partnership with the Abu Dhabi Department of Civil Defense. The initiative will be implemented in two phases, the first will be in effect until the end of the current year and will includes 800 homes, and the second will be in effect next year, and will include 1,200 homes.

This initiative, which directly targets people of determination and their families, aims to enhance the concept of health and safety at home regarding protection of homes from fires, fire safety procedures, evacuation methods, home safety guidelines, fire extinguisher knowledge and usage, and ways to prevent kitchen fires.
The initiative comes in line with the directives of our leadership to strengthen social protection and prevention measures and raise the general level of awareness of personal safety that concerns all individuals and segments of society, especially people of determination and their families. The initiative will also focus on implementing occupational health and safety policies, and spreading a culture of occupational health and safety among people of determination and their families.
The initiative team has organized a series of visits to a number of homes of people of determination, distributing fire extinguishing cylinders with a household safety toolkit, along with safety awareness brochures and detailed information regarding the initiative, fire extinguishers and their usage. These kits will ensure that families' homes are equipped with essential safety tools and devices and will be invaluable in achieving the campaign's goal to impart heightened awareness of social responsibilities concerning health and safety, fire and natural disaster protection measures and emergency procedures at home.
