Under the patronage of Sheikha Maitha Bint Ahmed bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Chairwoman of the Maitha Bint Ahmed Al Nahyan Foundation for Community and Cultural Initiatives, in cooperation with the Zayed Higher Organization For People of Determination, and organized by the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, the Foundation launched the "Khair Zayed" initiative, a charity event led by a group of People of Determination who distributed Iftar meals to workers in a labor camp in Abu Dhabi, in conjunction with activities accompanying the Zayed Day for Humanitarian Work.

On Sheikh Zayed Humanitarian Day, and in the first cooperation between Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination and the Ministry of Youth and Sports in the Arab Republic of Egypt, the "Bridges of Hope" training workshop for training parents of people of determination will be concluded today (Saturday), through remote visual communication coordinated by the organization, over a period of three days, from April 29th to May 1st. The training workshop was attended by approximately 70 parents and family members of people of determination with intellectual disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder in Egypt, all of whom are members of the Office of People of Ability and Determination at the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Coordinators of offices for people of ability and determination in all Egyptian governorates were also in attendance.
The program aims to educate and empower families and parents of people of determination, providing them with the necessary skills to deal with the challenges of children and provide them with basic skills to manage difficult behaviors, as well as creating a suitable home environment for people of determination, based on the extensive experience of Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, with the aim of creating a positive impact on participants, and transferring the expertise and knowledge of the organization and its specialists to our brothers and sisters in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The training was provided by a multidisciplinary team of specialist employees of Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, whose areas of specialisation include education, behavior modification, home environment adaptations and physical therapy.
The program was inaugurated by His Excellency Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports in the Arab Republic of Egypt, in the presence of His Excellency Abdullah Abdulalee Al Humaidan, Secretary General of Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination.
