The visit aimed to present Qasr Al Hosn, as a cultural landmark within the Presidential Palace complex in Abu Dhabi, and one of a limited number of presidential complexes in the world. It encourages members of society, especially people of determination, to visit archaeological sites, in addition to strengthening the organization's role in spreading social awareness and openness to the cultures of the world.
Qasr Al Hosn is one of the most important historical and heritage edifices in the nation's capital Abu Dhabi. During the tour, the participants listened to an explanation of the history of the palace, which is one of the landmarks of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its ancient heritage and represents the successful link between the past and the present. The tour included a briefing on the achievements of the Emirate over the past three decades until this place became one of the most prominent tourist attractions in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi.
They also listened to an explanation of the importance of Qasr Al Hosn and the key role it played in historical events in the region. They viewed valuable exhibits that highlight the features of authentic Emirati culture and its distinct identity. The group also viewed the historical cultural artifacts on display there.
Over the years, Qasr Al Hosn was the home of the ruling family, and the seat of government in Abu Dhabi. It includes the National Consultative Council and the National Archives. It was established by the late His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, founder of the United Arab Emirates. Qasr Al Hosn currently represents the beating heart of Abu Dhabi and a living witness to its long history.
